Principal Financial Group is recruiting Software Engineers at its Pune centre. This role is ideal for fresh graduates or early-career professionals looking to begin or grow their career in software development within the financial services domain.
Role Overview & Responsibilities
- Develop, test and maintain software applications and modules under guidance in a full-stack or back-end environment.
- Collaborate with product owners, architects and development teams to gather requirements and translate into technical designs.
- Write clean, efficient code, participate in code reviews, fix defects and ensure production readiness.
- Contribute to continuous improvement in development processes, participate in sprints and team agile activities.
- Maintain documentation, support deployment, monitor performance and assist in troubleshooting issues in production or test environments.
Eligibility & Skills Required
Eligibility:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or related discipline.
- Fresh graduates or up to ~3 years of experience eligible.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, C# or similar.
- Good understanding of data structures, algorithms and object-oriented programming concepts.
- Familiarity with databases (SQL), development tools, version control systems.
- Knowledge of web technologies, APIs or cloud platforms is a plus.
Soft Skills:
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to learn quickly, work in a team environment and adapt to change.
- Analytical mindset, problem-solving capability and a proactive attitude.
