Role & Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain and support mainframe applications in a production environment.
- Work with tools and languages like COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS (typical mainframe stack). HCLTech+2Shine+2
- Analyse business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Participate in debugging, code reviews, performance tuning and maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions and ensure client requirements are met.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or equivalent.
- 0 to 3 years of experience (internships or academic project experience included).
- Basic understanding of or willingness to learn mainframe technologies (COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS).
- Strong logical thinking, problem-solving and willingness to work in legacy and modern mainframe environments.
- Good communication skills, ability to work in a team and adapt to evolving project demands.
- Ready to work in Chennai, Tamil Nadu and commit to full-time role.
