Role Overview
As a Data Scientist – MTA, you will take charge of developing multi-touch attribution models that map how various marketing channels contribute to conversions. You’ll work closely with marketing, growth, and data engineering teams to build robust attribution frameworks, streamline reporting, and guide campaign optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement algorithmic attribution models to evaluate the impact of multiple marketing touchpoints across the customer journey
- Use statistical, probabilistic, and machine learning methods to integrate online and offline signals
- Work with large marketing datasets (impressions, clicks, conversions, engagement metrics)
- Collaborate with marketing teams to improve channel efficiency and influence budget allocation
- Validate models using holdout experiments, out-of-sample testing, or lift analysis
- Automate model scoring and reporting pipelines for real-time attribution visibility
- Build dashboards and documentation to present insights to stakeholders
Required Qualifications & Skills
- 3 to 6 years of experience in data science, marketing analytics, or attribution modeling
- Strong programming skills: Python, SQL, and relevant data science libraries
- Deep experience with MTA techniques such as logistic regression, Shapley values, Markov chains, time decay models
- Solid grasp of digital marketing channels and customer journey analytics
- Experience with model validation, experimentation / lift analysis
- Excellent communication, problem-solving skills, and a product mindset
