Job Summary
As a Software Development Engineer II at Adobe Bangalore, you will design, develop, and maintain high-quality software systems. This role involves working on scalable, robust features, collaborating across teams, and ensuring performance, reliability, and maintainability.
You will:
- Develop components, modules, and services that integrate with Adobe’s product ecosystem
- Contribute to system architecture, design, and code reviews
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues across the full stack
- Optimize code and systems for performance, scalability, and efficiency
- Work closely with product, QA, UX, and operations teams to deliver end-to-end solutions
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to improving team practices
Responsibilities
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following best practices
- Design and implement new features from conception to deployment
- Participate in architectural decisions and design reviews
- Identify performance bottlenecks, propose optimizations, and engineer improvements
- Ensure code quality through unit, integration, and end-to-end testing
- Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders to deliver business value
- Assist in mentoring and coaching junior engineers
- Stay updated with industry trends and tools; continuously learn and improve
Required / Preferred Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have / Required:
- Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
- 2+ years (or equivalent experience) in software development
- Strong programming skills in one or more languages (e.g. Java, C++, C#, Python, JavaScript)
- In-depth knowledge of data structures, algorithms, system design, concurrency, and memory management
- Experience building scalable, distributed systems
- Proficiency with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, or service-oriented systems
- Solid debugging, problem-solving, and analytical ability
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
