The Trainee Software Developer role at CIS is designed for fresh graduates who want to build a foundation in software development with mentorship and real project exposure. Below is what the job includes, what skills are needed, and what candidates can expect.
Key Responsibilities
- Learn to design, code, test software applications under supervision
- Assist senior developers with tasks in real software projects
- Work across both front-end and back-end domains (full-stack exposure)
- Develop documentation during SDLC phases
- Understand & apply Agile methodologies
- Stay updated with industry trends, new frameworks, tools, and best practices
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong command over Object Oriented Programming (OOP), especially in languages like C, C++, Java
- Good logical thinking and algorithmic ability
- Familiarity with databases (MySQL, SQL Server)
- Understanding of data structures, algorithms, problem solving
- Communication skills and ability to work in teams
- (Bonus) Experience or knowledge of JavaScript frameworks like Angular, React, or Node.js
- Basic understanding of version control (e.g. Git), and software development lifecycle (SDLC) concepts
