Role Overview & Responsibilities
- As a Software Engineer at L&T you’ll be involved in design, development, testing and deployment of software systems aligned with business and engineering functions.
- Work with programming languages, frameworks, databases and possibly embedded or systems software depending on the division.
- Ensure code quality, collaborate with cross-functional teams, troubleshoot issues, and enhance system performance.
- Engage with projects that integrate engineering, technology and innovation in real-world infrastructure, manufacturing or software solutions.
Eligibility & Skills Required
Eligibility:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
- Strong fundamentals in software development and willingness to work in an engineering-driven organisation.
Skills Required:
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages (Java, C++, Python or similar).
- Knowledge of data structures, algorithms and object-oriented design.
- Experience or familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC), version control, testing practices.
- Good communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills.
- Bonus: exposure to embedded systems, hardware-software interface, manufacturing or infrastructure domain.
